The Garth
The Garth is situated at the north end of the pretty village of West Burton, opposite Burton Bridge which leads on to an old track named Morpeth Gate. This was once a busy route between West Burton and the important market town of Middleham.
West Burton is considered one of the most beautiful villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Close by are Cauldron Falls, a spectacular waterfall painted by J.M.W. Turner on his north of England tour. The picturesque village green is surrounded by attractive houses with village store, pub and butcher’s.
Recently, the beautiful Yorkshire Dales became the back-drop for Le Tour de France which came right past the door!
